New Cypher Guide for Sunset Map Rework. Two Setups To Help You Dominate

This Cypher guide provides setups and strategies to maximize your utility as a Cypher main. Sunset is an excellent map for Cypher, and Let’s dive into the best setups for both B site and A site, as well as tips for holding flanks and post-plant scenarios.

Cypher Guide: B Site Setups

Setup 1

1. Tripwires:
   • Place the first tripwire close to the ground along the entrance to make it harder to see.
   • Place the second tripwire higher off the wall near the site.
2. One-Way Cage:
   • Align your HUD with a black spot on the wall near the main entrance and toss the cage.
   • Optionally, throw a second cage near Market for extra coverage.
3. Camera:
   • Stand on the railing and jump-throw the camera onto the wall for visibility over B Main.
4. Playstyle:
   • Start near the tripwire. When enemies hit it, pop the cage, swing out, and secure a kill.
   • Rotate to the second tripwire location and repeat.
   • Use the second cage for sneaky plays into Market if needed.

Setup 2

1. Camera:
   • Place it on the tree in the backside area for full visibility of B Main.
2. Tripwires:
   • Place one trip across the stairs leading to the site.
   • Set the second trip along the bombsite line to prevent plants.
3. Cage:
   • Throw a cage near the main entrance.
4. Playstyle:
   • Hold Market and use your camera to spot enemies. When they hit a tripwire, pop the cage and secure your kill.
   • If enemies attack your camera, capitalize on their vulnerability.

1. Tripwires:
   • Place one tripwire along the wall and pair it with a cage.
   • Set a second tripwire on-site and pair it with another cage.
2. Camera:
   • Position the camera in the window for a clear view of Market and B site entrance.
3. Playstyle:
   • Use the cages to maneuver around the site and surprise enemies when they hit your tripwires.

Setup 1

1. Camera:
   • Jump-throw the camera onto the wall overlooking A Main.
2. Tripwires:
   • Place the first tripwire at the site entrance.
   • Set the second tripwire in the doorway leading to the site.
3. Cages:
   • Toss one cage on each side of Generator for site coverage.
4. Playstyle:
   • Stay behind Generator. When enemies hit the tripwires, pop your cages to delay them or secure kills.
   • Fall back behind Generator when your cages are down.

   • Place one tripwire across the site entrance paired with a cage.
   • Set the second tripwire in Elbow.
2. Camera:
   • Position it on the wall near the entrance for constant A Main visibility.
3. Playstyle:
   • Use your camera to gather intel, retreat when needed, and use the cages to secure kills when tripwires are triggered.

Flank Holds

B Site

• Place a tripwire at the standard flank path or slightly higher to avoid detection.
• Use a window-mounted camera to monitor B Main for enemy movement.

A Site

• Set a head-level tripwire at the flank route and position a camera in the window for visibility of any incoming pushes.

B Site

• One-Way Cage:
  • Plant near the open area on-site.
  • Toss the cage against the wall for a one-way view over the spike.
• Alternate Cage Placement:
  • Use the wall near the spike to align a perfect one-way cage for better coverage.

A Site

• One-Way Cage:
  • Plant near the pipe structure on A.
  • Align your crosshair between the pipe and a nearby object, then toss the cage for a one-way advantage.
