VCT Americas 2025 Kickoff: 12 Teams, 1 Epic Start to the Season!

The VALORANT Champions Tour, VCT Americas is set to commence its 2025 season with the highly anticipated Kickoff tournament, beginning on January 16, 2025. This event marks the start of a comprehensive season that will feature an expanded two-stage International League, two international Masters events, and culminate in the Champions tournament.

Tournament Schedule and Format

The VCT Americas Kickoff will showcase a double-elimination tournament structure, involving 12 of the region’s premier teams. The four teams that qualified for Champions Seoul in 2024 have been granted automatic byes into the second round of the competition. The tournament is structured as follows:

Group Stage: Each group will feature a double-elimination bracket with Best-of-3 matches. The winning team of each group will advance to the Playoff Stage, while the second-place team will proceed to the Play-In Stage.
Play-In Stage: The three second-place teams will compete in a round-robin format, with one team earning a spot in the Playoff Stage.
Playoff Stage: The four teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket, with the two finalist teams securing their places for Masters Bangkok. The winner of the Kickoff will receive preferential seeding at Masters Bangkok and three Championship Points towards qualification for Champions. Valorant Esports

2025 Schedule Update

In 2025, VCT Americas and Liga de Videojuegos Profesional (LVP) will share weekend-long competitions at the Riot Games Arena, with matches taking place on both the Main and Secondary Stages. Key moments for both leagues will be featured on the Main Stage. Additionally, VCT Americas will host four days of matches in an alternate studio during both Stage 1 and Stage 2. Fans eager to experience the excitement of VCT Americas live can attend matches at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles. Tickets for the Kickoff event will go on sale on December 17 at 12 PM PT.
