Wake up, agents. Patch 10.09 is here, and it’s shaking up everything from tejo’s rockets to Breach’s stuns. Riot has officially dropped a balance pass for several agents and rolled out updates for Swiftplay, along with a few bug fixes and known issues.
Here’s everything you need to know.
🛠️ Agent Updates
Tejo – Major Adjustments
After weeks of dominating utility plays, Tejo is getting a targeted rebalance aimed at making his abilities more committal and less forgiving if used blindly.
Guided Salvo
- Cost: 150
- Grants 1 free charge at round start
- Each rocket consumes 1 charge
- Cooldown removed
- Map Targeting Range reduced from 55m to 45m
Tejo’s rockets now require better planning. Without a cooldown, they’re still powerful, but the cost of misfiring is higher.
Stealth Drone
- Cost increased from 300 to 400
Special Delivery
- Cost reduced from 300 to 200
Armageddon (Ultimate)
- Ult points increased from 8 to 9
Tejo’s economy and ultimate were both too efficient for his impact. These adjustments bring him closer to balance with other initiators.
Breach – Slight Nerf
Fault Line
- Detonation delay increased from 1 second to 1.2 seconds
Riot wants to give players a better chance to escape Breach’s stun if they’re not fully caught in the blast radius. More counterplay, less frustration.
🎮 Modes Update – Swiftplay
Swiftplay continues to evolve, and this patch brings a tweak to starting ultimate points for high-cost ults. The goal is to make big ultimates more accessible during short matches.
- Breach – Rolling Thunder starting points: 2 → 3
- Killjoy – Lockdown starting points: 2 → 3
- Viper – Viper’s Pit starting points: 2 → 3
Expect more impact plays mid-round even in fast modes.
🎁 General Updates – Gifting Limit Increased
Starting May 15, the daily gifting limit has been doubled from 5 to 10 gifts. This aligns with the launch of the Give Back // V25 Bundle, letting you spread both style and charity to friends in one go.
🐛 Bug Fixes
Cosmetics
- Fixed a bug where Kill Banners from several skins (including Oni, Evori Dreamwings, EX.O, Prelude to Chaos, and Mystbloom) appeared smaller than normal after the first kill.
- Reverted a Bolt skinline glow fix from 10.08. It was deemed safe after further testing, now left in as a visual Easter egg.
⚠️ Known Issues
Cosmetics
- A new Bolt bug is causing skins to glow brighter than intended, posing potential risks for photosensitive players and visual clarity. A fix is planned for Patch 10.11.
Agents
- A bug allows Omen’s Dark Cover mode to let dead allies see through Viper’s Pit or other nearsight effects. This will be addressed in Patch 10.10.
Tejo mains, it’s time to adjust your game. Breach players, you’ll need to be more precise. And Swiftplay grinders, your ultimates just became a lot more impactful.
