Riot Games has officially launched a gifting system in Valorant, letting players send skins and cosmetics to their friends directly in-game for the first time ever. This long-requested feature is finally here, and it’s live now across supported regions.

If you’ve ever wanted to surprise your duo with their favorite skin or say “thanks for the carry” with a sleek new Vandal, now you can. Here’s everything you need to know about how it works, what you can gift, and the rules in place to keep it fair.

How to Send Gifts in Valorant

Sending a gift in Valorant is simple and only takes a few clicks:

  1. Go to the in-game Store
  2. Click on an item or bundle that is eligible for gifting
  3. If gifting is available, you’ll see a Gift button
  4. Select a friend from your friends list
  5. Confirm the gift

Your friend will receive the item instantly along with a celebratory animation, similar to what we’ve seen in other Riot titles like League of Legends.

Gifting Restrictions & Rules

To prevent abuse and maintain account security, Riot has added the following gifting requirements:

  • You must be friends for at least 48 hours in-game
  • Both accounts must be in good standing (no bans, restrictions, or reports)
  • You must be on the same region/server as your friend
  • Daily Store items (Rotating Offers) cannot be gifted
  • Battle Passes cannot be gifted
  •   Radianite Points, earned cosmetics, and contract items are not eligible
  • Already owned items or previously claimed rewards cannot be sent

This first version of gifting is focused on store-purchased skins and bundlesnothing progression-based (like Battle Pass) is eligible just yet.

What’s Coming Next?

Riot has confirmed that this is just version 1.0 of the gifting system.

Future additions could include:

  • Battle Pass gifting
  • Seasonal or limited-time gifts
  • Gift messages and wrapping

They’re looking for community feedback, so features like group gifting or anniversary surprises might not be far off if demand is high.

  Final Thoughts

The gifting system is a huge W for the Valorant community, opening up new ways for friends, teams, and content creators to share the experience and customize their loadouts.

Whether it’s for a birthday, a thank you, or just to treat someone, this new feature is a game-changer in more ways than one.
